The Co-Manager is the second head of the shelter, they assume the Managers responsibilities in their absence and work closely with other members to ensure smooth operation. Qualities and duties of the HBO Co-Manager include: 

 

• Know the constitution and by-laws of the organization

• Assume responsibilities of President in their absence

• Supervise elections

• Know appropriate and related base regulations

• Aid all other Board members in their duties when necessary

• Communicate openly with volunteers to gather ideas for events, meetings, rules, etc.

• Animal handling or veterinary experience preferred

• Good communication skills (both phone and interpersonal)

• Good leadership skills

• Good public speaking skills

• Proficient in varying computer skills such as, but not limited to, Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Google E-mail, Facebook, Instagram.

• Excellent organization
